TNT

The TNT project began back in 2002, when Technoboy and Tuneboy decided to try co-producing. They already knew they enjoyed working together in the studio, but until then had only produced their own tracks under their individual stage names and various aliases. While a Technoboy or Tuneboy single places full creative responsibility on the artist whose name is on the track, TNT is, in every sense, a joint project.

Democratic to the core, TNT productions are created with maximum respect, absolute balance of power — and plenty of fun. So how do the two fit together without clashing? Sometimes compromise is needed, but more often it’s about pooling the ideas of two exceptional artists and developing musical strategies they simply wouldn’t have discovered on their own.

TNT is a vehicle for two of hardstyle’s greatest producers to push beyond the limits of their individual imaginations, opening themselves to fresh possibilities that can even surprise them. They openly admit they argue frequently, but in the end, they always find a solution they both love. The unique sounds they achieve with each new track have continued to delight audiences for more than nine years.

“It’s not 50–50 — we both give 100%. That’s what makes our tracks extraordinary.”

Technoboy describes his personal sound as “more melodic, with a strong ’80s influence,” while Tuneboy characterizes his style as “more dub-oriented and instrumental.” The TNT sound is an eclectic fusion of both their passions and strengths — “a synergy of skills and sensitivities converging in one track. That’s the spirit of TNT.”

“We enjoy working together on stage just as much as in the studio,” the duo explains, and it’s on stage where their contrasting tastes are explored most vividly. When one successfully plays a track the other would never have chosen, the resulting sense of surprise becomes a powerful source of creative inspiration.

“We love TNT so much, we couldn’t resist making it official with the release of a full album — a compilation of new tracks, remixed classics, and unreleased edits.”

So whether in the studio or on stage, TNT will always be, by definition… A BOMB!
