There are several ways of travelling to the Shutdown Festival but please think eco-friendly and make use of public transport possibilities and car pools.

Travel by Partybus

You can reach Shutdown from various cities in Germany, Italy, Switzerland and Austria with our travel partners.

Travel with FlixBus

FlixBus offers the biggest road network in Europe with comfortable seats, toilets, wifi and sockets. Choose your city and book your FlixBus tour to Wien Erdberg (busterminal) and from there, use our Shutdown Shuttle to the festival grounds.

Travel by train

The train brings you with comfort and convenience to the closest train station where our direct shuttles directly go to Shutdown Festival site.

  • Shutdown Shuttle Vienna
  • Shutdown Shuttle St. Pölten

If your train directly arrives in Vienna, you can take the direct shuttle from Wien Erdberg to Shutdown Festival site.

If you get off in St. Pölten, you can take our shuttle directly to Shutdown festival.

Travel by plane

Many direct flights from European cities will make your journey attractive to Shutdown Festival. There are daily flights to Vienna from worldwide destinations. Click here to check availabilities.

There is a connection between airport Wien Schwechat and Wien Erdberg. From there you can use the shuttle to Shutdown (check obove).

Arrival by bike

In case you want to warm up for the Shutdown Festival or live nearby the area, the Donauradweg, which is directly placed next to the nuclear power plant Zwentendorf, is the perfect arrival opportunity to get to the Festival in a sporty and environmentally friendly way with your bicycle. There will be enough cycle stands on site. So you can park your bicycle there while enjoying the festival.


Arrival by car

If you decide to arrive by car, please think eco-friendly and build car pools.

Kiss & Go Points: If someone brings you to the Shutdown Festival, please get off at the signed Kiss & Go Points. Keep in mind that it is forbidden to park there.

Parking: There is enough parking space but keep in mind that each vehicle needs a parking ticket. Parking tickets are available in our ticket shop. Your car is monitored until the end of the festival. Sleeping in your car is not allowed because of safety reasons. Exit possible until Sunday 14h00.
