Frequently Asked Questions

When and where will Shutdown Festival 2026 take place?

Shutdown Festival – Completion of Worlds will take place on August 8, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 12:00 AM at the site of the Zwentendorf Nuclear Power Plant in Austria.

Where can i find the #SD26 line-up?

The lineup for #SD26 has not yet been announced.

What is the minimum age for Shutdown?

The Shutdown Festival is exclusively open to visitors aged 16 and over. Age will be checked at the entrance by security personnel. Entry is not allowed for those under 16, even with an adult companion or a parental authorization.

What ID cards are accepted?
Official photo IDs such as ID cards, passports, or driving licenses are accepted. Electronic identification documents such as the ID Austria (digital identity with photo) are also accepted.

Student IDs, school IDs, and copies of IDs or similar documents are not accepted.

The Shutdown Festival takes place at the site of the Zwentendorf Nuclear Power Plant in Lower Austria, Austria.

Parking at Shutdown

There are plenty of parking spaces available at the festival grounds. To ensure a smooth arrival, parking is handled via the Parkster app. Simply purchase your parking ticket in the app, park, and we’ll check your license plate while you enjoy the festival.

If you’ve already purchased a parking ticket in the SD ticket shop, you can easily redeem it in the Parkster app.

Can I sleep in the parking lot?

For safety reasons, it is not allowed to sleep in your car at the parking lot.

Are there lockers?

The sale of our lockers has not yet started, so keep an eye on our social media channels so you don’t miss the launch!

Is there a Shutdown App?

Yes! Get the official Shutdown app now and stay up to date. With push notifications enabled, you won’t miss any artist announcements, updates, or important information.

Prohibited Items

The following items are not allowed:

  • Bags / Backpacks larger than DIN A3 size
  • Camelbacks
  • Fireworks
  • Flagpole extensions
  • Flying objects (drones, balloons, sky lanterns, etc.)
  • Glass
  • Grills of any kind (gas stoves, camping grills, etc.)
  • Self-brought drinks and food
  • Laser pointers
  • Loose cables, wires – sound systems
  • Powders or coarse-grained materials
  • Medications (except in original packaging. A doctor’s certificate is required for prescription medications)
  • Drugs and other intoxicants
  • Umbrellas and parasols
  • Roller skates
  • Slingshots
  • Syringes
  • Bulky items
  • Animals (except for guide and assistance dogs)
  • Dry ice
  • Sugar / powdered sugar
  • Weapons (according to Austrian Weapons Act) or other items that could be used as weapons
  • Items with discriminatory or provocative text or expressions
  • Any items that could endanger the safety or health of others
  • Any items that the organizer deems dangerous.
One-Way Ticket & Access

The Shutdown Festival Pass is a one-way ticket. This means that the festival grounds can only be entered once. Re-entering and leaving the grounds is not allowed.

Please remember to take all essential items with you into the festival grounds and not leave anything behind in your vehicle. Access to the festival grounds is available until 10:00 PM.

Pre-Top-Up / Cashless / Payment at the Festival

Shutdown Festival is cashless. That means that you pay using the chip on your wristband. Cash or card payments at bars or food stands are not accepted.

You will receive your wristband at the entrance when your ticket is scanned. To load credit onto your wristband, you can either use one of the top-up stations on-site or already add money to your wristband now by using pre-top-up to save time at the event.

Please note that withdrawals to countries outside the European Union may incur fees from the recipient’s bank. This can also apply to countries within the SEPA payment area.

Cashless Balance Refund

You can request a refund of your cashless balance after the festival in the Cashless Portal.

Simply log in or create an account, add the chip from your wristband, view the payment summary, and initiate a refund for the remaining balance.

Please note that refunds to countries outside the European Union may incur additional fees from the recipient’s bank. This may also apply to countries within the SEPA payment area.

Lost & Found

If you lose something at Shutdown Festival, please contact our Service Center on-site. Found items can also be handed in there. We will reach out to you once your item has been found.

All other lost items can be picked up at the Lost and Found Office of the Municipality of Zwentendorf.

Tickets

I lost my ticket, what can I do?

At lostmyticket.shutdownfestival.at, you can have your tickets resent to you.

Alternatively, you can log into the ticket shop and view your order overview under “My Orders” at any time. Simply log in with used for the order, and you’ll find an overview of your orders. Here, you can also personalize your tickets or resell them via the official resale platform.

Tickets Personalization

All personal tickets, such as festival passes, must be personalized meaning that the name on the ticket must match your name on your ID. At the festival entrance, your ticket will be checked along with your ID.

HOW CAN I PERSONALIZE MY TICKET?
Once you purchase a ticket and the payment has been processed, you will receive an email with a link to personalize your ticket. Here, you can personalize your ticket, forward it to friends, and then download it.

Personalization is not immediately required but must be completed by the day of the event.

To view or manage your orders, log in to the ticket shop. There, you can personalize, re-personalize, or resell tickets.

Re-Personalizing Tickets

You can re-personalize your ticket at any time by logging in again to the ticketshop.
Log in with the credentials used for the original order to view, re-personalize, or resell your tickets via the official resale platform.

Please note that re-personalizations or the resale of tickets can only be done by the primary purchaser of the order, and processing fees apply for each re-personalization.

Re-personalization is also possible on-site at the Ticketing Help Desk by presenting a valid photo ID and a letter of authorization from the original purchaser. Please note that higher fees may apply for re-personalization on-site.

Can I return my tickets?

We do not offer refunds for our tickets. If you are unable to attend the festival, you can resell your ticket through our official Resale Platform or our partner Ticketswap.

For a secure transaction and to ensure the validity of your ticket, we strongly recommend using only our official Resale Platform or Ticketswap. We do not recommend third-party platforms.

Resale Plattform

If you’re looking for sold-out Shutdown tickets or want to resell your own, please use our official Resale Platform or our resale partner Ticketswap.

Only tickets sold through our official platforms will have the original ticket deactivated and replaced with a new, valid ticket featuring a unique barcode.

You can also resell discounted tickets via Ticketswap. However, they must be personalized beforehand. Simply select “Sell tickets” on TicketSwap and follow the instructions.

As ticket fraud is becoming increasingly common, we strongly advise against buying tickets through online marketplaces, social media comments, or third-party sellers.

For organizational and technical reasons, the resale platform is available until the ticket scanning begins at Shutdown Festival.

Information for People with Disabilities

Accessibility at Shutdown Festival

The festival grounds are not fully accessible due to the local conditions. However, we do provide an accessible entrance to the site. Additionally, we have set up a total of three accessible toilets on the festival grounds. The exact locations will be available on our festival map, which will be published shortly before the event.

Our offer for visitors with disabilities

We welcome all Shutdown Rebels to the festival! We ask visitors with disabilities to purchase tickets for the Shutdown Festival independently through our official ticket shop.

If you require a companion due to limited mobility, we will be happy to provide a free ticket for your companion and a parking ticket, provided the disability degree is 50% or higher. Please fill out the following form so that we have all the necessary information to send you the tickets for your accompanying person by e-mail.
